Half empty...

Chevrolet has been making cars for around 90 years, would think that after 90 years of engineering, Chevrolet could calibrate a fuel gauge to read 1/2 a tank when it is actually half empty. Now I realize this is a pretty far fetched idea, but come on... I have Air bags in the dash and in both front seats. I have to install a module in order to replace my computer controlled radio. I have a built in satellite system that can phone the police if my airbags are deployed. But my gas gauge. That's too much to ask. I get 300 miles to a tank in my Trailblazer. 200 from full to 1/2 tank - 100 from 1/2 to the warning chime... Go figure.
